I'm heading the project of StreamTorrent (http://streamtorrent.sf.net).
StreamTorrent was born from an idea posted to comp.os.linux.development.apps a
couple of weeks ago (threads: "New Internet Webcasting Software Idea" and
"Wanted: C++ Audio Programmer For Exciting Project Team"). It is meant to be
a scalable network for streaming content; a single source starts the stream,
which is distributed in a peer-to-peer fashion to all interested nodes. Among
its features is support for many channels in the same stream (for example,
video high quality, video low quality, audio, alternative language, legends).
We are currently discussing the network model and protocol, and any ideas
would be appreciated. Join the list:

Best regards,
